When Elin found Egeo unconscious and drowning in the ocean, she swiftly brought him to the shore. Upon seeing him spit out the ingested seawater and start breathing faintly, she gave a sigh of relief and gazed at him. When she had engraved his face into her memory, she whispered, "I'm so happy I was able to see you again..." And slipped into the sea before he opened his eyes.
Elin is a shortened form of the Greek name Eleanor, meaning "light".
