Name Origin[]
Undines also called undina or ondines (from Latin Unda "a wave"), are elementals, enumerated as the water elementals in works of alchemy by Paracelsus. In folklore, undines are known as fairy-like creatures who are said to be able to gain a soul by marrying a man and bearing his child.
