Rumors about the white beast circulated throughout the town, scaring the people. A few of them warned me against going to the forest as well, but I saw right through their pretend concern and ignored their advice. I was aware they believed my taming powers were demonic or some such rubbish. Those sorts of people were in no small part why I preferred the company of animals to humans.
