It was not uncommon fpr silver dragons to fly through the city's skies. As one streaked past, Saya looked over the beautiful blossoms which caught the light of the celestial bodies and listened to the birds' beautiful songs. Peace spreading before her as far as the eye could see, Saya gently plucked her koto as she took in the beauty of the world. She had often heared people complain that Neotellus was a horrid place, but their grievances did not hold veracity in what she beheld.
Saya is a Japanese female given name, which refers to a scabbard or sheath for a sword. Beyond being a simple noun, Saya connotes peace because of the image of a sword that remains in its scabbard. Its meaning varies on the kanji used – among others: "blossom".
