Oriadol was only released to dispatch nuisances to King Egbert or his schemes for cleansing the kingdom. As he ruthlessly cut down the demons, he was assaulted by pangs of guilt and shame. However, if it meant ensuring the safety of his own kind, there was no other choice. In that respect alone, he was no different than the king.
