Even though I was aware of the problem, the solution was less obvious. The Compendium was all that could contain the intense emotion recorded on the pages, and burning the papers was unthinkable, since I thought it might have some negative effect on whoever wrote them. I worried if I wasn't fit for my job after all, but I never gave up.
