Through no fault of her own, Finly became the object of many a deity's desire, and the tension among the gods soon broke out into open conflict. Her adorable features, her docile nature, her refined aplomb - she was just too irresistible. Eventually the war engulfed all the Heavens, and yet noone could remember its cause. Wracked with guilt over her role in engendering the strife, Finly resolved to banish herself from the Havens. "If my existence has stoked the flames of war, then I must extinguish it."

Finly Hutchinson Gray (July 21, 1863 - May 8, 1947) was a U.S. Representative from Indiana. Later an unincorporated community in Brandywine Township, Hancock County, Indiana was named after him as Finly, previously known as Reedville Station, Carrollton, Kinder, & Tailholt).
