"Good-bye, Father," whispered Oona to the captured king, a faint smile upon her lips. All other elves in her homeland had been murdered, but she felt no regrets, for their downfall also meant her cherished friends would no longer face persecution at their hands. An elder beast placed her foster father's blade, wielded by the tribal chief, in her hands, and Oona plunged it into her true father's neck. From that moment on, the lone elf reigned as queen over a country of maltreated creatures.
Oona is a Latin / Irish derivation of the name Una, which is a Latin name for "one; united," and a Hopi name for "good memory." The name "Una" is also an Irish form of the name "Agnes," a Greek name for "pure."
