Having considered themselves on the verge of extinction, the avirons swore to continue on what she had started: each chosen guardian would shed her wings and carry out the rest of her days on the Sky Nest as a sacrifice in memory of darker times. Held on the day of her passing, a festival was born in Blanchet's honor, so that her exploits could be celebrated for time immemorial
