(Grieve) Kimesa, Red-Dyed Blackbird

Lore[]

When she killed her first beloved, Kimesa felt as if the agony would cause her heart to burst. However, the remaining 999 lives did not anguish her in the least. She sat atop a mountain of corpses, reflecting coldly upon her achievement. It had come not a moment too soon, but she wondered if dying in the arms of her true love at the outset would have been more fulfilling.

Name origin[]

A raven is one of several larger-bodied members of the genus Corvus. They have black plumage and large beaks. There are many references to ravens in legends and literature, mostly in Greek, Celtic, Norse, Pacific Northwest, and Roman mythology. Because of its black plumage, croaking call, and diet of carrion, the raven has long been considered a bird of ill omen and of interest to creators of myths and legends. As a carrion bird, ravens became associated with the dead and with lost souls.
