Enerille finally returned to her homeland, having exchanged places with the girl by trapping her within the mirror. She waved farewell to the frightened maiden, satisfied that her plan had succeeded. Enerille had quite enough of that preposterous world, where love was treasured above all and those who helped others were seen as virtuous. Had she remained in such a bizarre environment for much long, she may have gone insane. The gentle currents of spite in the air gave a familiar, soothing sensation.
A mirror image is a reflected duplication of an object that appears identical but reversed (e.g., if one raises one's right hand, one's left hand will appear to go up in the mirror). However, a mirror does not "swap" left and right, any more than it swaps top and bottom. As an optical effect it results from reflection off of substances such as a mirror or water. In literature, cinema and art the Mirrow world is always reversed: good became bad, bad became good and etc. Also mirrors can be portals and possess different magical qualities.
