When she came to, Angela was greeted by a thick grove of trees and a darkening sky. As she lay there wondering what had happened, she suddenly remembered that she had been conducting a demon-summoning ritual. But there was no demon in sight. Her pet dogs were missing too. When her eyes wandered to the dagger in her hand, she saw a grotesque reflection in the metal. It was her own. As she wailed in dismay, the crows surroundibg her cackled in glee. Their machinations had succeded.
