Pricking herself on the enchanted arrow head, Esmerelda was immediately enamored by a nearby youth. And, as she had forgotten what it was like to be in such passionate throes, so intoxicating was the experience she had soon launched in arrow towards him as well.
Esmerelda is an English and Spanish variant of a Greek, Spanish, English, German, and Italian feminine name Esmeralda. Derived from the Spanish name of the gemstone esmeralda which means "emerald", which is itself from the Latin smaragdus "green stone".
