No matter how much he trained, the stone statue Rodrick's muscles did not grow larger and his weapon skills did not improve. He devised another plan and was able to grow stronger by enhancing his body with added stone and iron. Before he knew it, he had transformed into a huge golem. He began working to protect the royal palace. The knights cheered and praised him. Rodrick was full of joy that he had achieved his dream of serving to protect the royal palace.
Rodrick is English masculine name of Germanic origin; the meaning is "famous, noted; power, ruler". A variant of Roderick (German), Roderic and Rodric are Scottish forms.
In Jewish folklore, a golem is an animated anthropomorphic being, magically created entirely from inanimate matter. The word was used to mean an amorphous, unformed material (usually out of stone and clay) in Psalms and medieval writing.
