"It all makes sense now." On the night of Glaube's eighteenth birthday, she felt herself changing under the moonlight. Her body grew leaden as her consciousness began to fade, but all of a sudden there was an exhilarating sense of release. Her wings finally emerged, revealing her true form of a fae. At the same time, a number of smaller fairies appeared to lead her home. Even as her parents shouted pleas for her to stay, Glaube could not be swayed. Without a backward glance, she and the fairies soared into the distance.
