After being discovered by the ranger, the Dark Lord allowed the assassin to remain in the forest. Depressed at the thought of becoming a permanent resident, he tried to think of how to escape. "I can't kill the other forest dwellers..." such had been his policy thanks to what little remained of his conscience. But once he knew the Dark Lord's plan, he decided to hold nothing back once they reached the kingdom. His cry of delight echoed through the forest.
