Those same gods who bestowed blessings upon the world could also bring death, in which case Vivi would not hesitate to turn her bow upon them. Her certitude was unshakable, for the gods had granted the gift of life to humankind. However to non-human races, Vivi was seen as an irrational, discriminatory oppressor, for she sought the survival of man at the expense of all others.
See Vivi, Light Archer.
As a first name, Vivi may be a shortened form of Vivian, Vivien or Vivienne of Latin origin; the meaning is "lively, alive". Originally a Latin name of the Roman Empire period, masculine Vivianus and feminine Viviana, which derived from the adjective vivus "alive".
