Lutetia was mired in ceaseless black rainfall. A man, appearing to have coalesced from the same dark substance, whispers to the Cardinal. Agreeing to assist in the elimination of the Three Musketeers, he releases the dark powers dormant in Richelieu. There is no longer anything that can stand in his way now that he has transformed into "The Light-absorbing Shadow".

Name Origin[]
Cardinal Richelieu was consecrated as a bishop in 1608 he entered politics, becoming a Secretary of State in 1616. Richelieu rose in both the Catholic Church and the French government, becoming a Cardinal in 1622, and King Louis XIII's chief minister in 1624. He remained in office until his death in 1642; he was succeeded by Cardinal Mazarin, whose career he had fostered.
He is also famous as beeing the bad guy in the novel and the film of "The 3 Musketeers".
