Upon her parents' death, Cinderella was made to live with her cruel stepmother and stepsisters. Scarcely was she able to bear being regarded as little more more than a slave. However, she came to develop a vindictive nature. After a particularly trying day, she took a pair of scissors to her stepsisters' clothes while they were asleep, thoroughly aware of their reaction. Upon seeing their dresses reduced to rags, they viciously screamed and slapped her across her face. Yet Cinderella felt an odd sense of relief.
