The flowers had been trampled and the songbirds had been mutilated; both were Valencia's doing. Her gentle disposition had been completely inverted and she destroyed what she once loved. The truth of her strange new wings now revealed to her, she seized her remnants of sanity and ran from the forest in search of desolation. Before long, word of the reverse-winged maiden propagated amongst the people, warning against approaching her out of pity. Despite her melancholic appearance, she was a demon compelled to erase all trace of life from her surroundings.
