The soldiers gazed in despondence at the threatening rainclouds looming above. They had been hoping for better weather to help swing the tide of battle in their favor. But instead of sun, they were greeted by an enraged Vanitile. Their desire for light was anathema to her desire for the quiescent solitude of the dark clouds. She coiled her slithery body around the helpless men, squeezing the life out of them one by one.
