The demons shuddered before Shmelzar who had accrued more than enough power to complete his task. It was not long before the fiends realized it: no more was the crest on his forehead a symbol he would be sacrificed, but a sign of the countless battles over which he had triumphed. And the gods, aware that it was they who were the hunted, trembled with fear.
