Joffé drew the soul arrow, gathering insatiable spirits of the dead inside the length of shaft. Firing straight and true, it pierced the chest of the vampire. No wound was left on his body; it had shattered his soul, which all undead required to exist regardless of their presumed immortality. Upon hearing their master's final cries of agony, other deathless fiends approached with rage in their eyes. Despite the looming threat, Joffé smiled fearlessly and unleashed another volley of arrows.
