Berry was requested to thwart a merchant who had monopolized the sugar supply not long before Valentine's Day. Her enormous familiar carried her to the unscrupulous baron's headquarters, trampling any who stood in their way. The people of the city cheered to see justice served, but her motive was far from altruistic. "If anyone's going to hog all the sugar, it's going to be me!" she declared triumphantly as she hauled several large sacks of the sweet granules back to her residence.
