Eventually, the World Soul was attacked. But for Miceli, such was her salvation. It was something that she had regretted for as long as she could remember. That she had been too noble to cast off the burdens of her friends. But another way, she could not even choose death, as that would mean the abandonment of her duties. Now, in the instant she had been summoned to fight, Miceli chose to do so without abandon, as the first line of defence of that forgotten land. All the while, she hoped and hoped for death.
