The town was abuzz with the rumor of Arnold, a fiend clad in black armor. It was said he murdered everything from small game to humans every night to feed their corpses to a massive, writhing cocoon that grew ever larger. Perhaps what gave the rumor interest was the notion that even twisted beings like Arnold felt some obligation to the rearing of their offspring.
