Augustus was known as a crazed magician. He collected corpses that were sprawled out on the battlefield and used the magic of the departed souls to remake the men, who he then conscripted into his personal army. After he visited the ruins of a battlefield, not a single corpse would remain. No one knew just how large his personal army had grown. "No fewer than a million," said some. But none had means of discovering the truth.

Augustus is a masculine name of Latin origin; the meaning is "great, magnificient" or "venerable". Derived from Latin verb augere "to increase". A variant of August (English, German, Polish, and Scandinavian) and Augustine (Irish and English). Augustus (63 BC–14 AD) was the first emperor of ancient Rome, after whom it became conventional for Roman emperors to adopt Augustus as a title on their accession; aslo the month of August was named in honor of the Emperor Augustus.
