Epilogue[]
"This what you wanted, wasn't it?"
Carmen said after throwing herself onto José's sword.
"When you killed me, I finally learned what true love and emotion was, and I longed to taste it again."
Dumbfounded, José knelt as she fell silent. Yet his sorrow freed him from his hatred at last, and he returned to humanity once more.
