As her father perished when she was younger, she was to receive her grandfather's power when she came of age. The ceremony had begun, and the two of them stood over the sacrifice at the altar. Yet while her grandfather murmured the incantation, there was no trace of enthusiasm upon Margitte's face. Rather, her expression could only be described as disdainful.
