Selo previously sought victory and the spoils of war. As the Crown Prince, he also found satisfaction in leading his army to expand the kingdom's borders. As he continued to hold up to the lofty expectations of others, he became lauded as a symbol of victory and a god of war. All the more reason why his subjects wailed in despair when he abruptly abandoned his country.
