Kanari was a featherfolk but oft mistaken as a harpy. Abandoned as a child, she was raised as a human by a traveling merchant until striking out on her own when she came of age to seek her own kind. However, as she was never taught how to fly, her search upon land was fraught with strife. Every village she approached either saw her as a demon and chased her away or saw her as an angel and begged for impossible miracles. In the midst of it all, there was not the slightest hint as to the whereabouts of her kindred.
