Hephaestus, worshiped as a volcano deity, would march to war gripping a blade of her own making. The battlefield was the only place her violent tendencies could find release, yet the continual clashes wore away at her body, depriving her of both a wing and an eye. Regardless, her warrior's spirit spurred her onward into the raging billows of war until she breathed her last.

Hephaestus is the Greek god of blacksmiths, metalworking, carpenters, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metallurgy, fire, and volcanoes. Hephaestus' Roman counterpart is Vulcan.
