Though he was a divine spirit, still Inocencio held little faith in the gods. The Heavens were a vast paradise beyond the wildest dreams of those on the surface of Neotellus, and the supposed blessings the gods bestowed upon mortals amounted to a pittance of what they kept themselves. Inocencio swore that any refusing to share their gifts with the land below would be made its sustenance. After all, nothing gave such a brilliant green color to its vegetation as the blood of angels.

Inocencio is a Spanish masculine name of Latin origin; the meaning is "innocent". A variant of Italian Innocenzio, Portuguese Inocêncio, German Innozenz and Russian Innokenti. From the Late Latin name Innocentius which was derived from innocens "innocent". This was the name of several early saints.
