Mirella, Crow's Curse

Lore[]

Mirella was surrounded on all sides by cacophonous darkness. The ominous caws of the crows filled her heart with dread and chaos. Though they were ordinary creatures, the suffering the humans had inflicted upon them caused malice to build within their frames. Each spiteful cry from the murder warped Mirella's soul, until it was as black as the birds' plumage.

Name origin[]

Mirella is an Italian variant of French feminine name Mireille. From the Occitan name Mirèio, which was first used by the poet Frédéric Mistral for the main character in his poem 'Mirèio' (1859). He probably derived it from the Occitan word mirar meaning "to admire". Other variants include Spanish Mireia and Mireya, Catalan Mireia, Croatian Mirela and Mirica, Romanian Mirela.
