In Nelly's island village, it was required that one catch and ride a wild sea dragon before being recognized as an adult. When the time came for her, she spotted an exceptionally large beast and immediately set her heart upon taming it. She expertly fastened a rope around its head, but it just as easily freed itself with a swing of its long neck, throwing her into the water. The elders laughed at the sight and suggested she try catching a smaller dragon, yet Nelly remained determined.
