Some say Lionella's love actually began with death. Longing to die more than any other, she took her own life. Her soul became a deep, dark hue tinged with a luster more bewitching than obsidian before it found and captured a god of death. Though a mortal and a god should not have been able to coexist in such a way, the two began journeying together. To them, nothing was sweeter or more beautiful than death; the greatest reward they could bestow upon the living.
