The town had descended into disarray. Though the cause is unclear, witchcraft is the focus of the strife. In particular, a great many followers have banded around a witch wearing a hooded red cloak. Salem, the town mayor, is at his wit's end. After a great deal of thought and concern, he at last hits upon an idea. If he could gain control of the red witch, wouldn't her followers then be under his control as well? As mayor, it wouldn't be that hard for him to kidnap one little girl. He crept up behind her, keeping his expression consistent with his position as virtuous mayor.
