Shenata made her home in a garden of white roses. After reaching adolescence, she fell in love with a boy, who compared her beauty to the pure white roses among which she lived. The two nurtured a deep affection for each other. One day, the boy told Shenata that he liked red roses, so she began dyeing a white rose with her own blood as a token of love. Horrified at this queer act, the boy promptly broke up with her. Shenata's tears knew no end.
