Chus had been granted a body of steel from Volker, but her heart was snatched away by Righi. Robbed of her feelings, she became nothing more than a mere weapon of destruction. However, as vibrations move better through solid mass than air, Volker's voice was still able to touch her soul. Yet she was most surprised by how she longed to hear his voice, despite her emotionless state.

Chus is a Spanish diminutive of masculine and feminine names Jesús and Jesusa. A variant of English Jesus, form of Ιησους (Iesous), which was the Greek form of the Aramaic name יֵשׁוּעַ (Yeshua); Yeshua is itself a contracted form of יהושע (Yehoshua), in English Joshua, meaning "Yahweh is salvation".
