Demons had built a massive city on the surface of Neotellus. Flames engulfed the streets, and demons were everywhere. Of course this city was a source of fear for humans, who detested demons. "Crush the Demon City!" they cried as they repeatedly invaded the metropolis. The demons put their lives on the line and fought to protect themselves from the humans. One demon served as their leader.

A demon, daemon or fiend, is a supernatural, often malevolent being prevalent in religion, occultism, literature, fiction, mythology and folklore. In demonology, a demon is considered an unclean spirit, a fallen angel, or a spirit of unknown type which may cause demonic possession, calling for an exorcism. In Western occultism and Renaissance magic, a demon is a spiritual entity that may be conjured and controlled.
The original Greek word daimon does not carry the negative connotation, it denotes a spirit or divine power, much like the Latin genius or numen. Daimōn most likely came from the Greek verb daiesthai (to divide, distribute).
